A training event on reducing the emergence of heel pressure ulcers will be held at the Hallam Conference Centre in London on 10 February. The conference will discuss professional and clinical issues such as early detection of pressure ulcers, educating patients to recognise symptoms, and performing vascular assessments of heels. Speakers include Elizabeth McGinnis, nurse consultant in tissue viability at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Tina Chambers, vice chair of the Tissue Viability Society, and Tracey Carter, chief nurse and director of infection prevention and control at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
