The RCN will host a day-long event focusing on reducing the impact of FGM in the UK on 6 February 2015.
The event will be held at the RCN headquarters on Cavendish Square. Speakers include Carmel Bagness, the RCN's women's health and midwifery adviser, Professor Lesley Regan, vice president of strategic development at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and Jason Ashwood of the Metropolitan Police. The day will see the launch of Female Genital Mutilation: an RCN resource for nursing and midwifery practice, a toolkit designed to support nurses and midwives in delivering the best care to women affected by FGM.
