A conference to showcase a new approach to end-of-life care will be held at the Manchester conference centre on 10 December. The new model, Priorities for Care, is based on the Liverpool Care Pathway, and focuses on the needs and wishes of the patient, as well as those close to them. The initiative has been supported and praised by the minister for care Norman Lamb. The conference will use expert opinions and practical case studies to advise nurses on the best methods to implement the new priority areas, outcomes and guiding principles for care at the end of life.
