Independent Nurse and its sister titles, British Journal of Nursing, Practice Nursing and the Journal of Prescribing Practice will host a free 3-part series of CPD-accredited webinars on managing eczema this November.
This series of webinars will take place on 4, 11 and 18 November, between 6 and 7PM. The series is aimed at primary care nurses who care for people with eczema in their day-to-day practice.
The first webinar ‘A Virtual Eczema Consultation Best Practice Guide’ covers how to assess, devise a treatment plan, educate and support an eczema patient virtually. This webinar will include eczema-focused tips on how to become confident at preparing and conducting virtual consultations whilst empowering patients, ensuring best practice.
The second webinar focuses on the stages of eczema; acute, sub-acute and chronic. A range of eczema treatments will be discussed with practical tips from emollients, to antimicrobials to topical steroids and topical immunomodulators.
The third webinar focuses on managing itch in atopic eczema, and will focus on treatment and psychological effects, and behavioural treatments.
The webinars will be hosted by Julie Van Onselen, a Dermatology Lecturer Practitioner at the Dermatology Education Partnership Ltd and the University of Stirling.
