The QNI will host an event on how community nurses can support carers on 9 March, at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London. It will also launch a resource for general practice and school nurses to support carers. A carers resource already exists for community and district nurses. The event is open to community nurse leaders from all specialities. Speakers include Crystal Oldman, chief executive of the QNI; Wendy Nicholson, professional officer for school and community nursing at the DH; and Dame Phillipa Russell, chair of the Prime Minister's Standing Commission on Carers. The event is free for all attendees.
