An award for innovation in the field of school nursing has been created by the Cavell Nurses' Trust. Nurses can nominate themselves, or be nominated by coworkers. Applicants are asked to write a 500 to 1000 word statement explaining how they deliver a holistic service for the school-aged population, assess local care needs within the school-aged population, and provide reactive services to children and families.
Entries will be taken from both the NHS and the independent sector. The winner and runner up will be invited to receive their awards at a ceremony in London on 1 April. The deadline for applications is 18 February.
