The South East Essex Practice Nursing Group (SEEPiNG) celebrated their 20th anniversary this month.
A civic reception with Southend Mayor, Councillor Andrew Moring, was held on 15 July to celebrate the anniversary.
As potentially the longest running and largest practice nursing group in the UK, it has around 130 members including community nurses, nurse practioners and some healthcare assistants.
The group offers educational meetings every six to eight weeks. They also offer a social calendar, as well as networking support group, with Christmas and summer events.
The group is run by a committee of seven practice nurses.
All nurses in the area working in the community or thinking of working in the community are welcome to join the group at www.seeping.co.uk.
