The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) has said that general practice is in danger of 'disingtegrating' unless the Chancellor increases investement in the service.
The comments from RCGP chair Dr Maureen Baker come as a poll commissed by the RCGP has shown that 98% of GPs disagree that general practice has sufficient resources to deliver safe patient care seven days a week.
The poll also revealed that 91% of GPs think that general practice does not even have enough resources to deliver safe patient care within the existing service.
