The RCN has re-elected its president and deputy president, both of whom will remain in post for a further two years.
President Andrea Spyropoulos, and her deputy Cecilia Anim, were the only nominees in their respective categories, and will fulfil their respective roles until 31 December 2014. Their terms have been extended to bring the presidential electoral cycle in line with the calendar year.
Ms Spyropoulos said she was 'thrilled' to be re-elected as President. 'I am looking forward to the next two years and to continuing to meet as many members as possible,' she added.
Ms Anim said: 'It is a real privilege to be able to continue representing such dedicated nursing staff, who make a difference to patients every single day.'
