Independent Nurse and Practice Nursing are holding the annual Primary Care Nursing Live event on Friday 8 March in London. The PCN Live event is a leading educational event for primary care nurses. It sets to provide CPD-certified sessions, covering a range of issues in primary care from COPD to women’s health.
Confirmed speakers for the event include Dr George Kassianos CBE and Julie Stanton. Dr George Kassianos CBE is National Immunisation Lead RCGP and President British Global and Travel Health Association. His talk, Immunisation in primary care, will examine the essentials of the GP Contract and Immunisations.
Julie Stanton, Director of Nursing at Community Telehealth, is also speaking at PCN live. Ms Stanton is a tissue viability nurse with 28 years’ experience. During her career, she has been a lecturer, trainer for the lymphoedema training academy and developed TV services within Birmingham and South Staffordshire. Ms Stanton’s talk on Wound Care in Primary Care Nursing aims to help primary nurses keep up to date with online learning courses, understand the basic rules for wound assessment and treatment, and will explore the current landscape of wound care within primary nursing.
