NHS managers must acknowledge problems with care quality and implement DH guidelines for compassionate care, according to the Foundation Trust Network.
In a open letter to NHS Trusts, Chris Hobson, chief executive of the network, which includes members from 200 trusts, said: 'If we acknowledge a problem with quality of care, we must acknowledge our boards have not been successful in delivering outcomes expected by patients and the public. Acknowledging the problem shows we will take responsibility for solving it.'
