The Diabetes 10 Point Training Programme is a large staff education programme training clinical frontline staff about diabetes care.
The training does not aim to make experts out of everyone managing diabetes but to recognise that all clinicians must possess a set of core competencies in order to provide safe and high quality care.
There is a short training programme and a postcard sized aide-memoire is given to the trainee with relevant and tailored 10 points of interest and local contact numbers. There are now a number of bespoke training programmes and aide‑memoires.
